2026 Fall Wastewater Lab Analyst Exam

Registration is now open for the Wastewater Laboratory Analyst Exam. The deadline to apply is September 21, 2026. Exams will be administered via computer-based testing (CBT) from October 5 – November 2, 2026.
This Fall, NC One Water will be piloting an exam review session for Wastewater Analysts testing at the Grade 1 and 2 levels. Senior-level lab analysts will lead a brief review of the subject matter you can expect to see on the exams, and will answer questions from participants.
Scheduled for September 24 via Zoom, 1:30–3:00 PM. Registration is available as an add-on when you register for the exam.
Event Registration Details
Registration is now open and closes September 21, 2026. To apply, submit a completed exam registration form along with payment of $200. All submitted applications are reviewed for approval — eligible applications will be processed and candidate information forwarded to the exam administrator. Any application denied for any reason will receive a refund along with an email explanation.
Once approved, candidates will receive an “Exam Eligibility Notice” via email from the exam administrator, AMP Customer Service (schedule@goamp.com), with instructions on how to schedule the exam at a testing site for a preferred date and time. Scheduled candidates will then receive an “Appointment Confirmation” email confirming the date, time, and location of their exam.
Exam Results
All exam results will be pulled at the end of the exam period. Every candidate who passes will receive a digital Certificate of Competence.
Exam Re-Takes
Candidates who receive a failing score may retake the exam up to three (3) times within the same exam window. A separate registration and fee are required for each attempt. After three (3) failed attempts, a six (6) month waiting period applies before re-registering.
