Call for Nominations
Nominations are now open for the 2027 NC AWWA and NC WEA Boards of Directors. Serving on the Board is an opportunity to help shape the direction of North Carolina's water and wastewater profession, guide association priorities, and support the members and communities we serve.
Members may nominate a colleague or submit their own name for consideration by the Nominating Committee.

Why Serve
Board members set the direction of the associations and the priorities that follow from it, from professional development and technical programming to advocacy and workforce initiatives. It is hands on work with a direct line to the issues facing utilities, consultants, and operators across North Carolina.
Service is also one of the best ways to build relationships across the state, deepen your understanding of the profession beyond your own system or firm, and give back to the members and communities we all serve. If you have been looking for a way to get more involved, this is it.
How to Nominate
| 1 | Consider who would serve the profession well, whether that is a colleague or yourself. |
| 2 | If you are nominating someone else, let them know so they are prepared for follow up from the Nominating Committee. |
| 3 | Complete the online nominations form by Sunday, September 20, 2026. |
